Saturday 24th April

Another short train ride and 30 minutes by bus and we were in Pushkar, a holy city where many pilgrims go to bathe in the lake and worship. Unfortunately many years of poor monsoons have seen the lake almost dry up and just a few small pools remain.

The small backstreets however are bustling with many shops and stalls selling an abundance of things. This was a time to do a bit more relaxing as there's not that much to visit here, more a case of watching people along the tiny streets.

We had booked into a little place where things went back to normal and if you didn't ask you didn't get. This even included water to shower. The plumbing and electric's were a nightmare and Serena took it upon herself to first fix the electric's to the air cooler, then add water to it as it seemed all to difficult to prise the staff away from the TV. Still we were only here for 2 days so we should cope.

We just went out in the evening to find a place to eat then came back early.
